This book presents a number of scientific and technical developments, as well as results of commercial application of high
performance technology for local casing of wells with steel profiled casing pipes expandable in the cross
section. This technique helps to solve a number of problems related to simplification of well design, decreased consumption of tubulars and cement, improved completion of oil and gas wells, reduced actual drilling time, improved quality of repair of casing strings, and savings in repair costs. The book presents equations for profiling, reducing of the pipes’ ends, and expansion of the casing pipes. The expandable casing stability to different stresses associated with the drilling process has been studied, the results are presented.
